How I Turned Rejection Into Building BeingOptimist

Please introduce yourself and describe what you do for work.

I’m the founder of BeingOptimist, a technology-focused digital platform that helps people understand and use online tools and services. I create practical technology guides, reviews, and free online tools designed to solve real-world problems and make technology easier to understand.

How did you get started?

I started after experiencing rejection while looking for opportunities. Instead of letting that stop me, I decided to build something of my own. I began learning digital skills, creating content, experimenting with websites and SEO, and gradually turned those experiments into BeingOptimist.

What is a common misconception that people have about you or your job?

A common misconception is that running a technology website is simply about writing articles. In reality, it involves research, testing, SEO, web development, product building, audience understanding, and continuously improving what you create.

What part of your journey were you unprepared for? What caught you off guard?

I was surprised by how many different skills are needed to build something independently. Creating the product is only one part of the journey—you also have to learn how to reach the right audience, understand what people need, analyze results, and keep improving.

What are you most proud of in your journey so far?

I’m most proud of turning an uncertain starting point into something tangible. BeingOptimist has grown from an idea into a platform with technology guides, reviews, and useful online tools that can help people solve practical problems.

What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone who wants to follow a similar path?

Start before you feel completely ready. Learn the skills you need along the way, build something useful, listen to your users, and improve consistently. Progress comes from taking small steps and continuing even when the results take time.

I’m still building and learning every day. My goal with BeingOptimist is to create genuinely useful technology resources and tools while continuing to grow as a founder and builder.
